Position: Tutor for Grades SK–6
Location: 1386 Gerrard Street East, Toronto ON
Hours: Part-time, after-school, and weekend availability required
Are you someone who loves working with children and wants to make a real impact on their learning and confidence? Kelly’s Reading and Math Club is looking for patient, enthusiastic, and dependable tutors to join our small but mighty team of educators who specialize in helping students in Grades SK through 6 build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.
This position is perfect for aspiring teachers, speech and language therapists, child psychologists, and social workers who want to gain valuable experience working directly with children in a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a tutor at Kelly’s Reading and Math Club, you will:

Deliver engaging small-group lessons in reading, writing, and math using our evidence-based instructional strategies

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment

Assess student understanding and adjust instruction to meet individual needs

Communicate clearly with parents and caregivers about student progress

Track attendance, learning goals, and assessment results

Write lesson notes after each class to share with parents

Attend occasional special events

Contribute to a warm, welcoming learning community where every child feels capable and excited to learn
Qualifications:

A degree from a recognized college or university (or currently enrolled in one)

Background in Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field is an asset

A Bachelor of Education is a bonus, but not required

Experience working with children in educational, camp, or child care settings is a strong asset
